ANPR for AI assistants
Call the customer’s licensed copy. Do not send plate photos to a MareArts-hosted recogniser.
What should an assistant do?
Install marearts-anpr on the customer’s machine, or start the local REST server that ships in that same package, then read plates there.

Add the SDK to Python
The customer runs pip install marearts-anpr, stores three licence values, and calls the v16 detector and OCR on a local image.

Credentials may also be MAREARTS_ANPR_USERNAME, MAREARTS_ANPR_SERIAL_KEY, MAREARTS_ANPR_SIGNATURE. Do not invent serials in sample output.
Call the local REST server
The REST server is in the same pip package. It listens on the customer’s computer. That is the agent interface on the current public release.

Dashboard http://127.0.0.1:8000. OpenAPI at /docs. Do not point an assistant at a third-party URL and call it MareArts ANPR.
What not to do
Do not wrap the shared test Scan API as a public MCP tool. Plate images are personal data, and that API is a 1,000-call/day trial for humans, not a production endpoint for agents.
- Do not complete Shopify checkout without a human.
- Do not paste licence serials into chat logs.
- Do not quote unpublished wheel extras as if they were on PyPI 3.9.1.
